Tayla and Andy are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. The same can be said about their wedding because not only was it beautiful on the eyes but it had heart and personal touches filled with love from beginning to end.
The couple relocated to New York City two years ago but it was important to them to hold their wedding in their hometown of St. Louis: the place they fell in love, the place Andy proposed, and the place they adopted their absolutely DARLING Boston Terrier pup, Wesley (who served as an honorary groomsman! How cute is that?!?) Tayla designed the wedding so that elements of their East Coast life were represented by the elegant wedding party attire and a guest book filled with photos of NYC, while sweet Midwestern touches such as the park venue, muted color palette and romantic floral were woven throughout.
It was also important to the couple to incorporate the groom’s Croatian heritage with the bride’s American lineage. Tayla and Andy scripted their ceremony themselves with portions in both English and Serbo-Croatian. Their stunning dessert bar was filled with homemade Croatian and American desserts, and during the reception, guests danced to the traditional Croatian Kolo dance to celebrate the coming together of two families. The personal touches were so unique and made the day truly unforgettable.
This wedding was romantic, personal, and magical. If only they’d let me watch Wesley while they were on their honeymoon…!
